Instrument Commissioning Engineer Job

Position Title: Instrument Commissioning Engineer
(for Azerbaijani citizen’s submissions only)
Work Schedule: Regular with random offshore trips
Deadline: 26 September 2022

KEY ROLES:
Responsible for delivery of fully commissioned instrument systems including Fire and Gas PCS and Safety Instrument Systems field equipment to Operations

BASIC SKILLS
· Competent in communicating in the English language.
· Ability to work on own initiative.
· Ability to supervise Instrument supervisors and technicians and liaise with the Engineering & Installation Contractor.
· Good interpersonal skills.
· Ability to produce written reports and plans.
· Computer literate in MS Word and MS Excel.
· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Recognised Instrument Apprenticeship
· Recognised Control & Instrument Engineering Qualification (City & Guilds, HNC,ONC or degree)

EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years Instrument Commissioning at Engineer level on onshore or offshore facilities including:-
Involvement with Engineering Contractor in design phase.
Factory Acceptance Testing at suppliers premises.
Site Acceptance Testing
Commissioning of utility and process systems
Handover to owner

RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES

Coach and train National Instrument personnel and ensure that they are provided opportunities to attend formal training courses which benefit the Project and would enhance their capabilities.
Attend Factory Acceptance Tests at suppliers premises.
Input into the compilation of Commissioning Test Procedures
Respond to engineering site queries where clarification of design is required and liaise with Eng contractor where an Engineering response to SEQ’s is required
Witnessing and acceptance of Site Acceptance Tests.
Attend site RTC meetings and participate in level 2 risk assessments
Ensuring all Instrument Commissioning personnel carry out their work and are fully trained in accordance with site PTW procedures.
Perform Area Authority duties in accordance with PTW procedure
Attend commissioning meetings.
Responsible for the management of all interfaces between field equipment and ICSS
Responsible for implementing, execution and completion of all discipline work-scopes detailed within Commissioning Test Procedures
Responsible for the safety & management of all Instrument Commissioning personnel and vendors reps under their control when on-site
Compilation of a weekly progress report to their line manager.
Control of “As building” documents in accordance with the project procedure
Coordinate Vendor call-offs in accordance with construction and commissioning schedule ensuring vendors are mobilized when required.
