Engineering Degree / Diploma in appropriate disciplineGraduation certificate must be endorsed for Equivalent certificate from the Ministry of Higher Education – Abu DhabiMinimum 6 years post graduate experience out of which not less than 4 years related experienceMust hold a valid Safety training certificate from a recognized organization and experience as a Safety Officer in the similar fieldYou must have approvals from the MOL & Social affairs as well as the client’s Technical Services SectionFluent in spoken and written English Language
Key Duties:
Report to the Project ManagerBe well aware of the client Health and Safety requirementsAdvise on potential hazards at work sitesPrepare appropriate safety requirements for inclusion in Work Method StatementsAdminister “Permit to Work” proceduresEnsure Site security, fire, First Aid and welfare facilities and procedures are provided and properly maintained.Ensure all agreed safety standards and applicable regulations are observedCarry out and record regular safety inspectionsOrganize safety training for the staffOrganize regular inspections and safety drillsInvestigate all accidents and dangerous occurrencesAssist in the development of safe systems of work and safety and “Permit to Work” proceduresSet a high personal example of Health & Safety at all timesEnsures all plant and equipment is fit for the purpose, adequately maintained and possesses valid test certificatesLiaise with the client’s Safety OfficerBe based full time at site locations
