Job Description
Civil Foreman
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and manage construction works from start to finish
2. Provide on-time and complete reports and status updates
3. Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
4. Supervise the use of machinery and equipment on site
5. Produce schedules and monitor attendance of workers
6. Allocate general and daily responsibilities
7. Maintain written daily log of site activities
8. Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, enforcing and guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met by workers and contractors’
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a construction foreman in civil construction project
2. Fluent oral and written knowledge of Portuguese and English required
3. Ability to read drawings plans/blueprints and convey this information to others ensuring the projects meet all building/code requirements
4. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills
5. Extensive knowledge of construction best practices
6. Be familiar and aware of HSE practices and policies
7. Mozambican nationality
8. Previous experience on prefabricated building or camp construction is a plus
