Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering and structural design experience.
  • Professional Engineer registered with reputable international Professional Engineering Institution will be added advantage.
  • Relevant years’ experience in Structural Design & Construction, preferably in the Oil and Gas environment or similar industrial environment, including minimum years’ experience at Supervisory level. Some experience and knowledge of general environmental engineering and quantity surveying is required. Experience in reviewing tenders, compiling estimates, overseeing contractors and supervisions of staff and labour is required.
  • Good knowledge in construction activities and project management.
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
  • Computer literate in mainstream Office products have had exposure to online management, document and maintenance systems including SAP.
  • Experience in operations, maintenance and projects’ pre-commissioning, commissioning and Hand-over activities.
  • Possess good communication, presentation skills and fluent in English language.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide technical support in the area of Civil/Structural and maintenance aspect throughout all stages of the project.
  • Verify and review technical designs, documents and bids in accordance with approved standards and to meet Operations, Maintenance, Asset and Pipeline Integrity and HSE requirements.
  • Check and review all project drawings and documents (civil, structural, specifications and proposed materials) submitted by others in accordance with the project specifications.
  • Plan and coordinate between Operations, Maintenance and Asset Integrity teams to ensure project requirements are met and aligned.
  • Identifies potential hazards during commissioning activities, participates in technical meetings, Pre-Start Up Safety Audits, raises punch lists and provide support to operations and maintenance teams in various stages of project activities.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Project execution departments and Operations & Maintenance teams during projects’ FEED and EPIC stages to align Operations and Maintenance, Asset Integrity and HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders and resolve relevant technical issues, punch lists during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages till the projects are successfully commissioned and handed over.
  • Support Lead engineer or supervisor to ensure that all applicable environmental, process and safety technical policies are fully integrated and implemented.
  • Ensure that Operational Excellence (OE) incorporated in daily activities / all activities & full involvement of all staff
