Job Purpose
The service area of the Instrument Technician at onshore facilities is instrumentation and controlled shut-off and adjustable valves, control panels, stands and instruments for checking and calibrating, alarm and interlocking systems, fire and gas alarm systems, as well as instruments and accessories for them.
Instrument Technician is administratively subordinate to the Instrument Supervisor Onshore.
The workplace of the Instrument Technician is CPSF which he is assigned to.
Instrument Technician is appointed and dismissed by order of the Director-Turkmenistan Operations as advised by the Instrument Supervisor Onshore.
Instrument Technician according to production needs fulfills the orders and instructions of the shift supervisor of the maintenance department.
Job Responsibilities
Timely and efficiently perform all types of work provided for by Unified Wage Rate Book in accordance with the assigned qualifications and in compliance with the rules and regulations for their safe conduct, ensuring the trouble-free operation of measuring instruments.
Carry out work on the maintenance of measuring instruments, on the current repair of alarm circuits and interlocks.
Perform work on the installation and dismantling of instrumentation and automation equipment and accessories to them.
Fulfil orders and orders for the enterprise, orders and instructions of the head of instrumentation and controls regarding production activities.
Follow the internal labour regulations and observe labour and production discipline.
Economically consume electricity, spare parts, materials and ensure the safety of entrusted material assets.
Keep the workplace, fixed equipment and area clean and tidy.
To fulfil the duties of a worker according to the generally applicable Regulation on the industrial safety and labour protection management system at the enterprise.
Constantly be at the workplace in overalls and footwear, having the necessary protective equipment in good working order and be able to use them.
Perform only the work that is entrusted to him in compliance with the requirements of the rules and instructions for their safe implementation.
Timely report to the senior Instrument Technician about the completion of the issued task or the reasons for its failure, about all arising problems and the measures taken to eliminate them.
On the results of the work performed, draw up entries in the operational log, passports for measuring instruments, a schedule of verifications and calibrations of measuring instruments, a schedule-report of the operability of alarm and interlock circuits.
Require from the personnel of installations and other persons operating instrumentation and control equipment to be careful with instruments, instrumentation, and control equipment.
Education
Must Know:
Design, the interaction of complex devices, the technological process of their assembly and methods of calibration.
Block diagrams and schematic diagrams of the tested instruments, the principle of operation of the tested measuring instruments, rules for their operation.
Fundamentals of physics, mechanics, telemechanic, heat engineering, electrical engineering, metrology, applied and physical optics.
Basics of radio engineering and electronics in the scope of work performed.
Knowledge and skills of working with a computer.
Manufacturing process
Qualification Requirements:
Education in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation or Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation and 5 years of experience in commissioning installations, operation and maintenance of electrical equipment and instrumentation in the OIL PRODUCTION.
In addition, knowledge of the maintenance of mechanical equipment, programmable logic controller, emulsion heaters, fire and smoke detection systems, testing and calibration.
Ability to read and draw sematic diagrams.
